The default is automatic. You might also want to open the program and
set the protections to high.

There's a setting for you to choose between auto/ask/manual updates.

That seems right for the Linux version but the Windows version has the
60 day trial I think.

No, the paid version has a 60-day trial. The free version has free
yearly registration, without ads.

Last time I installed it -- a couple of weeks ago -- you couldn't open
the console without inputting a registration code. Perhaps you can use
it at medium level for 90 days but if you want full protection, you
gotta register.

I don't need no stinking anti virus for Linux.
