Short version

Using Vista home edition Service Pack 1.

How can I fix "CBS MUM Missing Total Count" errors returned by CHKuser?

Long version.

I have a problem similar to
http://www.microsoft.com/communitie...&pt=&catlist=&dglist=&ptlist=&exp=&sloc=en-us

After failing to in install Microsoft.NET Freamework 3.5 Service Pack 1 and
..Net Freamework 3.5 Family Update (KB951847) x86. it returns an error message
"Windows Update Error 800B0100"

I followed the advise.....
Click one of the links below to get the correct tool ...
"If you are using Windows Vista 32-bit version"

I donwloaded and ran the link under Vista 32-bit version. It took a wile to
run but when it returned with no error I tried to run window update package
again. The pacakge to be in stalled in "Microsoft.NET Freamework 3.5 Service
Pack 1 and .Net Freamework 3.5 Family Update (KB951847) x86

It returns with the same error. Looking in the CHKuser log I see:
