answering machine

Does XP have a answering machine? I know with my Windows 98 I had a
telephony...I dont know if that was just and extra with my computer or if it
was from microsoft? Im not worried if it has caller Id...I just need an
answering machine...

I dont think windows has a built in answering machine option. You may want to
install an additional s/w that will do this job for you. Try this:

Thank you very much...I downloaded it and it works perfectly....my husband
was startled, but he said that it never left a tone for him to leave a
message...So I got to check that out...but again thanks so much...
