Another Drive Letter after SP2

I have a DVD-RW/CD-R and a DVD/CD drive in my system. After installing SP2 ,
now I have
DVD-RW drive and two DVD drives all with different drive letters since
installing SP2.
Can anyone explain this?

SP2 didn't add any hardware to my computer. Do they all work?
