Another DirectX 9.0c Problem

Guest

I downloaded the NASA World Wind program to install. It said that I needed
the net.frame update & the DirectX 9.0c update. I installed the net.frame
update just fine. When I downloaded the dxwebsetup.exe it failed to install
completely. I ran the DirectX Diagnostic Tool and went through each tab, and
everything checked out OK. I tried reloading the NASA World Wind program, but
it keeps telling me that I need the 9.0c update. Is there anything I can
do??? Help!

Thanks for everybody's help in advance.

Yes! That is the file I downloaded. I will give you the failure message from
the dxerror.log & the directx.log when I get home this evening.

Happy Holidays to All!

I don't know if these will help answer my question, but, there it is. I also
tried installing the DXWebsetup.exe with WinXP in the "Safe Mode" but came
up with the same error message. I am not copying the DirectX.log file because
it appears to be Moocho pages long & very boring. Something to read if you
can't get to sleep.

Anywhoo, thanks...in advance for your help.

Here is the quick, painless & easy solution:
I was trying to install the NASA World Wind program. I found out that I had
the compact version install. I downloaded the full version & it loaded all
the DirectX stuff it needed. Here is the website:
http://worldwind.arc.nasa.gov/download.html
Thanks for your tries!

regardz...
