another blue screen at startup

This morning switched on pc. started to boot then switched itself off
leaving me with a blue screen saying it had switched off to save the computer
from damage.
event viewer showed the follwing:Event Type: Error

I have McAfee Online anti virus software which is up to date. Scan revealed
no infection.
Maybe it is something to do with a driver or something but microsoft update
did not reveal any new drivers.

The blue sceen does not come up on every start up but did occur twice.
