Annoying style update

Dirk Mikulla

Hi NG,

I have a strange behavior in word 2003 that I don't know how to stop it.
Each time I place the cursor in a text line and for instance I decide to
make this line of bullet line every paragraph in my whole text starts with a
bullet. The undue function then offers me to undo the 'automatically update
style". After performing the undo only my selected line has a bullet.

Under tools/autocorrect/autoformat as you type that check box 'define style
based on your formatting' is unchecked.

How can I stop word doing a change to the whole text if I only want to
change a paragraph.

Thanks a lot for every answer.

Modify the style so that "automatically update" is NOT checked

<-*-><-*-><-*-><-*-><-*-><-*-><-*-><-*-
Hope this helps

Thanks for the answer.

Where can I modify the style and take care that the check box is not set. Do
I modify a style when I just put the cursor in a paragraph and add a tab in
the ruler? - Sorry for that stupid question.

Thanks a lot
Dirk
