annoying problems

Hi,
Please can any one offer some help to me? I have already posted this in the
OE newgroup with no response, so I don't know if any one here can help me.
I have two problems that are not major things ...just annoying.
I have a few emails that are sent to me in OE6 in the form of a newsletter
with pictures and icons to click to go to the web site. These pictures are
enclosed in the form of attachments but dont appear in the body of the
email. When I try to forward the email to myself I can see exactly how it is
meant to be, and everything is shown as the newsletter is intended to look
with pictures and icons in place. I have tried to change the html send and
receive format in options, but it makes no difference.
The other annoying thing that happens to me is when I surf web sites and I
have to scroll down the page to view everything. If I want to return to the
top of the same web page to click on icons, nothing is clickable. I have to
refresh the page or go back to the previous page and forward to the same
page again to make everything work. This doesn't always happen, but 8/10
times, its just annoying to have to keep refreshing the page to make things
work.
I have windows xp with sp2. Mcafee antivirus, and the sp2 firewall enabled.
I can't pin point when exactly things started to change, but I am sure that
they used to be ok a few months ago.
Thanks for any help

Blondie,
- Email
Since you are using Outlook Express, for the mail reading problems open OE
and double click on the Tools tab. Click the Secuity tab and remove the
check mark from the options that block images in email and and attachments.
- Browsing
Going back to the top of the page is an option in IE6 that may have been
disabled in your system as a security measure.

Thanks for the reply so soon, but in outlook express the security tab is
already unchecked for blocking attachments and images.
With IE6 how do I change this to enable if it has been disabled?
Thanks again for your response.

I f John's reply (below) does not fix the problem you might open OE and
double click on the Tools---Options click the Secuity Tab and check mark:
Internet zone (Less secure, but more functional). This worked for me. Good
luck.

I thought about this option too, but alas this too doesn't seem to help me.
I still can't see the email as it was intended with pictures and icons that
are clickable.
My laptop has the problem, but my pc that is running windows ME has the same
security settings can view the emails as they were intended to be.
I thought about a corrupt identity, so I have created a new identity, but
still the problem is there.
