Annoying IE button at bottom of the screen!

I find the explorer button on my task bar, the one which
lists each of the sites I have opened, very annoying.
I'd rather just use the back button. How do I stop the
Internet Explorer button at the bottom of the screen?

Right-click Taskbar > Toolbars > Uncheck "Address".
