annoying autocomplete popups

Mary

I've disabled autocomplete and inline autocomplete using the tools,
internet options, content and advanced choices in ie6.
At various pages throughout the internet, a little popup window will
appear and ask me if I would like to have autocomplete fill in the
information for me. If I wanted the freakin autocomplete to fill in
the info for me, I wouldn't have unchecked everything.
I know over the years people, as annoyed as me, have been searching for
a way to pemanently disable autocomplete to no avail.
Has anyone come up with a way yet? I've spoken with a microsoft rep at
their 800#, but was told I would have to call someone else and pay a
fee to find out. Like they don't have enough money already. Any help
would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I used the pcmag.com solution. I had to add keys and values to the
registry. I haven't been paying attention to see if it worked, but I
guess it must have because I haven't been annoyed by the popus since I
updated the registry. Can't thank you enough. Have a great day.
