Animation/transition problems

Ok...On my powerpoint presentation, I have a screen with two buttons you can
press. I want one button to take you to slide 5 and one button to take you to
slide 15. Both buttons have their own custom animations.

The problem is there doesn't seem to be a way for an animation to be played,
followed by a transition to the appropriate slide.

When I click either button, the transition instantly occurs, and I want it
to start upon completion of my animation.

Ive read a few tricks that are sensitive to the immediatly following slide.
Problem is, while one button's animation should end with a transition to the
next slide, the other one jumps way ahead.

Is there ANY way I can configure a transition to a custom slide to occur,
after a click-activated animation completes? (The two buttons are
click-activated, and have unique animations)

Thanks!

MS is aware of the user community's request for an animation-to-transition
option. Dunno if we'll ever get one, but at least I know MS is definitely
aware we want one. :-)

Anyway, the only workaround I'm aware of is to create a "shim" slide.

The shim slide has the same content as the real slide does, but the content
is modified to look exactly like the previous slide in the state immediately
before you want the last effects.

Set the "real" slide to automatic (animation and transition) and the "shim"
slide to manual (animation and transition).
