Animation created in the USA doesn't work on computers in the UK?

I created sides with custom animation using PowerPoint on computer in the USA
but when I tried to display on computers in the UK the animation doesn't
work. Has happened to several Co-workers also.

Are the US/UK versions of PowerPoint the same?
