Animating multiple points on one slide

I am doing a powerpoint presentation for a college class. In the slide I have
the title animated and also the 'body'. I have multiple parts in the 'body'
that i want to animate. It will only let me animate the entire 'body'. Is
there a way to animate each point seperately?

In PowerPoint 2002/XP and 2003,
Click on the textbox, go to Custom Animation.
Click Add Effect and select an Entrance effect.
Double click on the effect to bring up a dialog box. Select Text Animation
tab.
Under Group text,
Click on the dropdown field and select "By 1st level paragraphs". If you
have 2nd level bullets or more, and want to animate them individually, select
respectively.
Click Ok.
A little similar if you are using PowerPoint 2000 and below.

You may also want to check Echo's site for Bulleted Text Animation
