Animated images are blurry in presentation mode

I have pictures pasted in PPT 03. When viewed in PPT 07 (either
Compatibility Mode or saved as PPTX) the text in the pictures is blurry if
animated. If not animated the text in the pictures is fine.

The pictures are pasted charts made in XLS. They are neither linked or
pasted as a Chart Object.

Anyone have any suggestions? One solution I discovered is to repaste all
the pictures in PPT 07, however there are so many that I would prefer not to.

Yes, this happens to me, too. I think it's got something to do with the
charts being made into images when they're animating, but I don't know the
details.

I'd probably cut the charts and paste special as PNG, then animate. Or you
can paste special as EMF and ungroup, then regroup parts as necessary. I'd
do this on a copy of the presentation so the charts are available later if
needed.

This may be something you can do in code. How's your VBA?

I don't know if this is your problem, but you may try turning on Hardware
Graphics Acceleration.

In 2007, just click Slide Show | Set up Slide Show | Check the Hardware
Graphics Acceleration box.

This generally helps speed, but that may indirectly affect graphic quality.
