Where can I find the button/icons for FrontPage and MSIE to place on my site?

Do you mean the FrontPage program Icon and the Internet Explorer Icon you
see on your desktop??
First, read this:
http://www.microsoft.com/permission/copyrgt/cop-img.htm#Icons
Then you will need an Icon editing / extraction utility to extract them from
the exe and dll files on your machine.

Linking to Microsoft Web sites

Nuh uh. I saw the icons on another site that is right-click disabled but found:

The icons are animated logos. They're basically just little icon/buttons to put on my homepage. I've searched in microsoft.com for them. These codes do no good as they reference to .gif's that I don't have.

That site is very slow to load and uses Java applets ... not such a good
idea if it is to be viewed in IE. And quite frankly little animated gifs
like that are very 'old fashioned' now...... but then you're not doing a
first grade site!! There are many things about that page (site) that you
don't want to copy .. it's very amateurish.

Dunno, I'm not an attorney. Trademark infringements suits are expensive and you have to prove actual damages, that's what I know about it...and the fact that I see the Frontpage Link on a zillion sites.

LOL The only thing I liked was those 2 icons... if you look at mine, I think you'll see the difference ... even if it is a 2nd grade site!!! LOL

I find all sorts of cool image files in my temp files all the time...quite a treasure trove.

As you see those images are linked to Microsoft. The FrontPage Logo at one time would be installed
when you applied a theme.

Just because you see another site using a logo, doesn't mean that you also have a right to use that
