Animated Graphic

Hi
I am a novice at this so excuse me. I am trying to copy a graphic that is
animated into a PowerPoint slide. However, when I copy and paste it - It
does not carry over the animation. It is just a plain graphic and no longer
move.

What can I do so that it remain moving for example a woman that is walking?

Thanks

Which version of PowerPoint are you using? I can't remember which
version was the first to support animated GIFs (either 2000 or 2002).
Generally, animated graphics in PowerPoint don't animate in Edit/Normal
view. Have you tried viewing it in Slide Show View. Finally, I would
avoid copying and pasting the graphic. I would instead try inserting the
graphic from a file: Insert > Picture > From File.

Well, that stinks. Is there a way to keep it from compressing all (or
even better, selected) pictures on save? I would probably want
everything else compressed but not the ones that would be corrupted by
the process.
