analyzing

I click on analyze and nothing happens. I have Windows XP, I am the
administrator, and there's 69% free space. My computer is not connected to
any others. I do have anti spyware and anti virus protection and firewall
protection ( don't know if this means anything). I would very much
appreciate any help any one can give me. And I am basically computer
illiterate, so please make your suggestions simple for me.

I am going to make a Silly Wild A** Guess that you mean the Analyze button
in Disk Defragmenter.

If yes...

Nothing happens when clicking on Defragment or Analyze.

Defrag with XP SP2 needs the DCOM Server Process Launcher service running.

Click Start, Run and type SERVICES.MSC
Double-click the DCOM Server Process Launcher service
Set it's startup type to "Automatic"
Restart Windows.
