An unknown startup program ?????.exe requires approval

I seem to get the above message about once every 10mins,
with all different .exe's. How am i supposed to know
which ones to block or allow and what are they? I get the
same with BHO's.

I always hit block but after a few days my PC slows down
on startup, when I check files set to run on startup
(using XPtuner) it shows hundreds of .exe's and I have to
remove them all because I don't know what they are.

Antispyware seemed a good program when I first started
using it but now its really becoming a pain. The trouble
is now I'm scared on uninstalling it incase my PC gets
bombarded.

Is there a list of .exe's and BHO's available which would
give users an idea?

It is agreed that there is something wrong with these Alerts, you just have
to wait until another Bill to see if this obvious error in the software is
resolved.
