An unhandled exception

My computer for some reason tried to install a photo gallery without my
prompting. Ihave attempted to cancel it with no results. It asked for a
CD-rom to insert but I don;t have one. Now the computer says,,,,"an
unhandled exception has occurred in a component in your application. Click
continue and application will ignore this error and attempt to continue." I
tried that with no result. Then it says "Object reference not set to an
instance of an object,"

Any help on resolving this issue would be appreciated.
