Hi,
I am using RIS to install a RipRep image of Windows XP SP2 on an IBM
X40 Laptop. The RipRep copy process runs fine, however, when the
process gets to the Mini Setup Wizard the following error is generated
at the instant the Network Setup starts-up in the mini-setup section:
"An unexpected error occurred while changing your Computer's network
identification"
I was allowed to click "OK" and the setup continued successfully.
I conducted a Google Search and did not find any solution to this
problem. There is a Microsoft Article

But it does not address a solution. The posted workaround is to
wait,however, the mini-setup will only continue when I click on the
Error message's "OK" button.
Can anyone assist me with getting rid of this error?
I am using RIS and the whole process is unattended. Having to have to
click on this "OK" button to continue is not allowing me to have a true
automated process.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
