Naw, wait till 2020 when we have 10core CPUs ... price will still be the same.

If you need the power now, then upgrade now. If you don't need the power, why upgrade at all?

if you want speed then price/performance wise single core is still the way to go for a good few years yet i would imagine

amd's new fx processor is going to be a dual core 2.6ghz - i.e 2 fx-55's - and is going to be about $900 i think
