AMD 64 Athlon

I deleted an Application (or is it a Processor?) titled, AMD 64 ATHLON from
my Control Panel because a downloaded Update Message Box suggested I do so
before it installed a new Update. My HP zv6100 laptop hasn't run the same
since then. Can anyone tell me if I should call a Press Conference to discuss
My Stupidity?! Thanks...

Go follow the instructions on how to restore your system to an earlier state.
When you are asked what restore you want you use make sure you pick one on
an earlier date than when you made that mistake.
