Always closes

I can't even browse with IE anymore, it opens says there is
an error and closes. I downloaded netscape on my laptop
and did a transfer. I may just stay with netscape, but it
would be nice to know what went wrong

From IE> Tools> Internet Options> Advanced, uncheck "Enable third party
browser extensions." If that helps, check for adware, spyware, parasites:

Or you could use Netscape to download
Ad-aware http://www.lavasoft.de/software/adaware/
and Spybot S&D http://www.safer-networking.org/
