Altering Normal.dot using Styles!!!!

I caught one of my end users changing her normal.dot by using the styles
toolbar. She has repeatedly complained about Word crashing, and will not
listen to my recommendations (which is "don't mess with your normal.dot"). To
make a long story short, does anyone have a good article or suggestion I can
tell my stubborn user? Thanks for any advice...

I think that you are barking up the wrong tree as far as the reason for Word
crashing is concerned.

I've never known saving styles in normal.dot to cause a crash.

Better advice is to keep a backup of normal.dot.

Normal.dot is *intended* to be used like this. If it is crashing then the
reasons are coming from elsewhere. You could start with
http://www.gmayor.com/what_to_do_when_word_crashes.htm then trouble shoot
the problem with http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/ProbsOpeningWord.htm
