How can I restore what Alt+Enter does in ie7?
Alt+Enter in ie7 used to open a new tab with the same address. Now it doesn't.
How can I get it back?

How can I get it back?

First, press Alt+D to select the Address Bar. Then, press Alt+Enter
to open the address in the Address Bar in a new tab.

Why does no-one read these questions properly?!?!?!?!?

Alt+Enter USED TO work, now it doesn't. How can I get it back? (that's what
"restore" means!)

That's great for you, Ben, but it doesn't for me. Again it used to, now it
doesn't.
Any further ideas anyone?

You're welcome.

I did read your question properly, and I gave an answer that,
according to the tests I ran before replying, should fix the problem.
Just pressing Alt+Enter doesn't work. You have to press Alt-D (or
click the cursor in the address bar) first.

If that doesn't fix the problem, I recommend posting your question in
the Internet Explorer news group.

Thank you Steve, I would be happy to post in the Ineternet Explorer newsgroup
but I can only find one specific to ie6 and I'm using ie7.
Do you have the power to ask for a new newsgroup for ie7? The ie6 newsgroup
is full of ie7 questions.
In the mean time, I've just discovered that Ctrl+T also does not work on my
machine to open a new blank tab.
Could these be connected and, if so, do you know where I could go to find a
solution (polite answers only, please ;-).

You're welcome, Johnny. The news group for IE7 is
microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general. If you're using a news
reader program (Agent, Outlook Express, Windows Mail, etc), subscribe
to that group. If you're using the web-based forums, click this link,
