What are you expecting them to do? In previous versions, Alt+Left/Right are
for WebGoBack and WebGoForward; the former can be used to return to the
jumping off point of a hyperlink. They are still assigned this function in
Word 2007, but they won't do anything unless you've followed a hyperlink, I
think.
Alt+Shift+arrow can be used to promote/demote outline levels; perhaps it is
those shortcuts you were thinking of?
