Almost none of my programs will respond!! Please help..

I don't know what happened!! Everything was working fine!! Now NONE of the
programs on the quicklaunch bar, and only ONE (IE) of the programs on the
desktop will load. I single click one of the icons in the quicklaunch bar,
and nothing happens..I double click one of the icons on the desktop, and
nothing happens.. I am having the same problem with programs in the start/all
programs/..menus..

Also, I use a program called #1 DVD Ripper. I absolutely LOVE this program!!
It was working fine until I installed SP2..Now all of a sudden, it doesn't
work.. I would give you the error message it gives me, but I can't get
anything to load!!

Please help!! Thanks to any and all who can!!

Hi Will..

Thank you SO MUCH for this link.. The one you told me to use DID NOT work,
however, the one titled: "Link (Shortcut) File Aassociation Fix" DID..
I really do appreciate the help.. I have been using Windows practically
since it was invented, and I have never seen, or even heard of this
happening..
