Outlook should allow Rules and Alerts to automatically be sorted
alphabetically.

Sorting rules alphabetically is not only wrong but foolish. You want the
rules to execute in the correct order based on priority, stop clause,
short-circuiting Boolean logic (since all rules get OR'ed together unless a
stop-clause it hit). The rules execute in the order listed. It is up to
you to determine if the order is valid and best organized.

Ask before putting something to vote since your suggestion may not be
appropriate or even advisable.

There should at least be an option to sort the Rules alphabetically.

When I create rules for any emails that I receive, I want them in
alphabetical order so that it is easier to find the rule in case I need to
make changes to it. I have over 350 rules which have been created. When the
rules are not in alphabetical order, I find myself creating duplicate rules
for emails where I already have a rule setup for that email (which perhaps
needs a simple change made to it, not a New Rule). Then when I go to sort
the rules, I don't know which rule is valid because there is more than one
rule.

His request is entirely valid as he asked for an OPTION, not for this to be
the only way. Read the request before bloody criticizing it.

As Vangaurd said, the problem is that the behavior you see with your rules
often depend on their order. Arbitrarily reordering rules could very well
change how they work. A person should think carefully before changing the
order of rules.
