Hi all,

When I tried to share my folder using simple file sharing, I'm able to
ticked the first check box (Share my files in the network) but was unable to
proceed in ticking the second box whereby I wanted my network users to change
my files as it was greyed off.

Why it is it? What's the remedy?

Thanks a lot!

Derrick,

Is this all folders, or just one specific folder?

Do you, as logged in, have the ability to change files in this folder? Is this
XP Home, that's always had SFS, or XP Pro, which you recently enabled SFS? If
the latter, you may need to change back to Advanced File Sharing, and realign
the permissions.

Hi Chuck,

This applies to all the folders. Mine is a Windows XP Pro and I'm the PC
admin.

Does Mcafee also affects how my SFS works?

Regards,
Derrick
