Made folder private and now cannot undo to give access to the netw

Hi

I posted this a few days ago and received a response which didn't help and
now my message has disappeared.

We went away last month and had people staying in the house who were
connected to our network. I passworded the computers through 'Users' in
control panel and it asked if I wanted to make the files private and I said
yes.

Since getting home, I've been unable to make them unprivate. I have removed
the password but when I try to share the 'My Documents' folder the Make This
Folder Private is ticked and I cannot untick the box and I can't tick the
Share this folder on the network.

At the bottom it says "the options on this tab are disabled becuase this
folder is in another folder that is private". I can click on the another
folder and it opens it up but the make this folder private is still ticked
and cannot be unticked.

Please, someone, help me to share the files with the network.
