all users folder hidden

For some odd reason the all users folder in documents&settings has changed
to hidden, i can change via folder options and all hidden folders etc appear
but cannot change this one folder back to unhidden as the tick box is greyed
out.
Appreciate any info.

I'm having exactly the same problem as Leon, and also discovered it within
the past few days. The problem in my case (and I believe his), is that the
"hidden" box is checked with a light grey check, and cannot be toggled to
any other state. In other words, it's "stuck" in hidden mode. I always login
as this same user, I am the only user (other than Administrator), and am
part of the Administrator group. Nothing appears to have changed with
respect to security, etc, yet, now, unless I uncheck the "Hide Protected
Operating System Files" preference, I cannot see that directory. So, it
appears it's become "protected" and not just "hidden". Thanks!

Is there a solution? Attempting to uncheck the "hidden" checkbox doesn't
work. It's state cannot be toggled/changed from the dimmed check that
appeared there. Any reason why it may have occurred? Thanks again.
