Hidden folder problem

Bob

I have 1 hidden folder. All the others seem visible. My folder is
C:\Documents and Settings\HP_Administrator\Favorite\Links
I want to add some bookmarks to Links. It is visible in CMD mode
I have "Show hidden files & folders" checked in tools
Any ideas?

It does when you go to "Add to Favorites" and there is no "Links" folder to
add to.

Sounds like the location doesn't exist yet. Right click in the Menu
area, and select Links.

If you read my origional post. You will see it is visible from the
command prompt. (You know Run, cmd, Dir) I can see the directory & all
the files in it. It is a windows problem!

Are you logged on as "HP_Administrator"?

What version of IE?
IE8 uses the Favorites Bar folder instead of Links.

In addition to checking the "Show hidden files & folders", for some
files/folders you also have to UN-check the "Hide Protected Operating
System Files" a couple of lines down.

Thank you, but it is unchecked. The reason I want this, is because I use
Links from the toolbars. I use Fifefox, not IE but I think this folder
became hidden after one of the IE updates, which I should probably have
ignored.

I do not know if it is the exact same problem but it looks similar to what
happened on my computer. The hidden temporary folder in my account somehow
became a system folder. I tried changing it back to hidden in the sys admin
account but couldn't do it. I never found a solution for it.
