all my minimized windows disappear.

Hi,
When I minimized all the open windows(like wordpad document or ie browser), all the windows should be minimized and shown in taskbar. However, they are not there. When I hit ctrl+atl+del, it shows that those programs are stilll active in background.
So, how do I get those minimized windows shown in taskbar. (I have left clicked on taskbar and look for options. But I didn't see any options I can pick)

Why aren't minimized programs listed in the Taskbar?
