All Disk Drives inaccessible

None my three disk drives will work. Each one returns the
same message:
"A:\ [or E:\ or F:\]is not accesible. Incorrect function"

Help!
 
Are these all 'extra' drives ie not hd's
What does system say for yr hardware?
 
NORTON anti-virus "Autoprotect" is the usual problem. Read up on it at
their web site or turn it off.
