When using Word 2000 fonts default to 'all caps' using format font and
unchecking 'all caps' solves problem for that document only, default always
to 'all caps'. Recent phenomena since installing SP2. Any fixes out there
please?

In case you haven't made too much customization to your Word (like
adjustment of styles, toolbars, macros), then I just would let Word recreate
the "normal.dot" template. The exact procedure is as follows.

1. Make a search for "normal.dot"
2. Rename the old file to e.g. "normal.old"
3. Open Word.
4. Close Word. (By this time Word will have a new "normal.dot" file created)
5. From now on all new documents should just work fine.
Pls note: documents based on the old "normal.dot" template, will most likely
remain suffering from this problem.
