all AVI are now playing in slow motion

all my AVI videos that were imported from my digital video camera are playing
in slow motion. but if i copy the files to another PC thery are playing just
fine. any ideas?

It sounds like a codec issue. The .avi format is basically just a
container/shell. Use a program called g-spot on the file to discover
what codec the file uses, uninstall it and reinstall it. Or save
yourself some headache and download VLC Player.

even if the AVI file is played in Real Player, WMP or Roxio. it is still in
slow motion. that would be a codec issue.
