There are rumours of a demo of this due out next week (19th January i've read on Steam)

I had read about this a whiles back, if a game was worth re-making, this is one of them.

I remember the original was tense, very tense. And dark. Genuinely scary.

Hope this one manages to capture the same spirit.

I think I still have the original game somewhere but AFAIK it only plays in Win 98/95.

Does the Steam version play in Win 7 do you know?

If you got Win 7 Pro or Ultimate then download Win XP Mode for it.
Install AVP in the XP enviroment and have it auto publish to Win 7.
I started replaying it over my B/Day (had time off) after watching the trailers for the new version due out on the 360 soon.

It does install and play in XP.

Only have Win 7 Home Premium here JaLing, so not an option for me

I do have a machine with Win 98 on it though, perhaps I'll load it up on that

But must get a new mouse/keyboard for it though, the cheapie Logi wireless desktop combo is truly a bit rubbish for gaming, as I discovered when playing Quake & Hexen II on it.

Quite a few good games in the pipeline then. Goody

That game looks like a cross between deadspace and doom 3. Both of them were great.

I have played MP no more than three times - it's shyte. Makes choices for you. Crap crap crap.
