Alert sends email

I am trying to setup an alert that wil seend an email to multiple email
adresses. I've got the alert working, it writes an entry in the log. Is
there a simple way to have the alert send an email?

What are you using to check for alerts or whatever it is that you're doing?
Did you write something in a .vbs file? .bat? .exe? That will help
determine the simplest way and the one that should be most familiar for you.

There are a number of command line mailers that are free and
easy to use, e.g. sendmail.exe, mailto.exe, blat. Check Google
for download sites.
