After Vista install disaster

I installed Vista premium with very bad results on a Pavilion 7955..gave up
and purchased a Pavilion m7650n media center with XP home. My question is if
I can muster up the courage can I reinstall the same Vista pkg on my new
computer ? I completely removed it from the old one and reformatted the
drives to reinstall XP on the old PC. I paid some bucks for Vista and would
like to see something for it.

That depends. Is it OEM or retail? A retail license is transferrable, an
OEM one is not.

Post to a Vista newsgroup for issues about Vista. Here is a list of the
Vista newsgroups.

First, ask yourself if yor really 'NEEDED' vista, or whether it was
purchased out of ego and the need to be better than the Jones-ez next
door.

Those 'some bucks' you paid could have been better relegated to helping
someone in need that is near to you;; perhaps someone in a
wheelchair at the shops you use;; or perhaps assisting in financing a
childrens play-ground nearby?
Or, perhaps you could have channeled the money into paying for a
therapy session, so that you could come to terms with your need to have
the latest equipment........ i hear it is now a disease.

Lemme ask you something mister egotist......
"do you change your spark plugs each time a new brand is on the market?"
"do you purchase a new after-shave just because a new one is available?"
"are you one of the typical people who 'must have the best' whether people
on the globe are starving to death or not'???????"
"are you one of the arm-chair commentators who watch their 'satellite'
channels showing starvation and mutilation, and then comment on how
disgusting it is and how the 'govern-meant' should 'fix' it all??"

Tell me bud,,,,, just what the 'heck' do you want vista for?
What is it that you cant do with what you got, that you reckon vista can?
Why would you want your 'habits' monitered even more than what they
are with XP users........ cos' both 'phone home'.

sure, go ahead, shell out for vista and keep big-business starving us
all.....
get your 'vista', you obviously deserve it as much as it deserves you;; and
this is all revealed on a daily basis to the world via vistas in-built
'monitoring'

spend your bucks chump....... and yes, i know you are a chump,
because only a chump could be told something and still do nothing
about it.

The guys in white coats are coming for you, again. You refuse to take
your pills and you keep escaping from the institution so this time they
will have to give you a lobotomy.

YES........the license might not be "transferable" but a quick phone call
and a little white lie (broken Mobo) will allow you to activate the product.
I suggest you run the Vista Upgrade Advisor first

NEED may nothing to do with it; WANT is the operative condition.

You may not be aware that children in wheelchairs are used to assemble
Pavilion machines.
Or, perhaps you could have channeled the money into paying for a

Talk about wasting money! Just because you (seemingly) benefited from
intensive therapy is insufficient reason to inflict same on others.
Lemme ask you something mister egotist......
"do you change your spark plugs each time a new brand is on the
market?"

Don't know. There hasn't been a new brand of spark plug in 30 years.

"do you purchase a new after-shave just because a new one is
available?"

Sure. Don't you? Or are you still using Bay Rum or Violet Water?
"are you one of the typical people who 'must have the
best' whether people on the globe are starving to death or
not'???????" "are you one of the arm-chair commentators who watch

No. I watch TV, see the starving children, and change channels (I have
several hundred). I am indifferent to whether fools are starving to death -
they either brought it on themselves or allowed it to happen. There has
never been a famine in a democracy.
Tell me bud,,,,, just what the 'heck' do you want vista for?

"Because it's there" is ample reason. I shouldn't have to justify my wants -
to you or anyone else. Heck, my wants may not be defensible or smart, but
they're MY wants with which I'm prepared to obtain through the energy of my
endeavors. It is entirely presumptious in the extreme for someone to
criticize them.
What is it that you cant do with what you got, that you reckon vista
can? Why would you want your 'habits' monitered even more than what
they
are with XP users........ cos' both 'phone home'.

I don't mind my habits being monitored - I, unlike some who shall remain
nameless - have nothing to hide. If monitoring my habits yields a better
product, well, why not?

oh, grow up.
ms has sure not lived up to its responsibilities , like providing vista updates to its own software or hardware for vista or 64 bit xp.

so a little white lie to overcome being screwed over is no big deal.
