I upgraded from Win2k to XP Pro on my PC yesterday. I
backed up most of my important files, but neglected to
back up my emails and my Outlook address book. After the
upgrade, my system ran flawlessly. All of my programs
were operating as before, and all of my files were
present. However, when I opened outlook, it would not
connect to my email server, and could not find my old
settings etc. I re-configured the email settings and I
can now send and receive mail, but I can not find my old
address book or any new or archived email (inbox or inbox-
old).

Where should I look. Thanks for any help.

Set your search to show hidden files, and search for *.dbx (emails) and
*.wab (address book). Write down the path when you find them. Use the import
feature in OE to import the desired files, browsing to the location you
recorded.

Thanks a million Steve,

The files were there. I had simply forgotten to click
the "Show Hidden Files" option in search.
