After SP2 icons locked in place on desktop

Since installing SP2 my desktop icons are "locked" in place. I have turned
off the align to grid and autoarrange leaving only the "show desktop icons"
checked. What gives? (never had this problem before SP2)
 
check "lock web items on desktop", then go back and uncheck "lock web items
on desktop" and it should unlock the icons.
