After security updates cannot view source

I need help with the view source functionalty in IE6.

After installing some security updates (I am not sure
which one since there have been several) when I select
view source on a site the notepad window does not open.

I have notices that view source works fine while viewing
an html file from disk.

Is this a bug or a configuration issue and do you know of
a fix?

I am using XP, IE6.

Antonis,
There may be several reasons .........

1) If a shortcut exists on the Desktop for Notepad, rename it.
2) Some users have reported Quick View Plus to be the culprit?

Close all instances of OE and IE
Control Panel | Internet Options | General tab | Delete Files button
Also select the option: "Delete all offline files"
Then click the "Clear History" button, while you're at it ......
Reset the TIF cache size to 50 mb. Click Apply\Ok
