Hi there,

I've had to re install windows which means the registry has been wiped.
However iv been able to gain access to all the other previous information
that was on the HDD. Ive searched high and low through my users Application
data for previous emails I had when using Oulook 2003. I dont think i had
backed it all up (whoops) but surely the emails are stored. Ive tried
searching the drive for .pst and .eml but havent found any. Do you have any
ideas?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Try:

C:\Documents and Settings\***username***\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook

dam

Nope sorry only 4 files in there XML, srs, dat and nk2 file. No emails or
anythin.

Surely Outlook must sotre all my email setting somewhere with the emails.

Depends how you reinstalled, if it was a clean install all data in the OL
default location has gone.
Otherwise search, to include hidden, for *.pst
Assuming you now have OL set up and running, if your search produces no
*.pst(s) your search criteria is wrong

There should be an Outlook Data File there with extension .pst. If you
don't have one anywhere on your hard drive, then you don't have mail,
contacts,. calendar, tasks, journal, or notes. They're all in that same
file.

Surely not.

sounds like you are looking at C:\Documents and
Settings\***username***\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook

you need to look at C:\Documents and Settings\***username***\Local
Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook (that directory is flagged as
hidden so you might need to make windows to see all folders first).
