After Login in, there's a blue screen but no desktop...

Hello everyone... Has anyone here encountered a problem
where after a user logs in to the network, there's a
blank blue screen and can't get to the desktop? the
machines that are having these problems are w2k latest
sp.. Please help......
 
Can you logon as a local administrator or as a domain administrator? If you
can then check their ntfs permissions to their profile, root folder,system
folder and look in Event Viewer for any errors. --- Steve
 
You might also see whether renaming the profile for that user helps you be
able to log in as that user.
