After logging in with my id, the desktop flashes twice

Loging with any id I created (administrator's authority), after the desktop
shows on the screen for 1-2 seconds, the desktop is disappeared, the screen
goes to black as if the user just login, then, the desktop shows again (kind
like restart), then, the system is OK. It does not create any problem, just
very annoying at login time. Like to get rid of it, but don't know how.

I think if you give it time, it might stop doing that on its own; it's a
simple case of the order of the way things are loading up, I suspect,
especially since you're having no problems. You might want to run your
anti-virus and anti-spyware detectors just in case, but things like
that happens now and then. There are probably some other things you
could try but that's a pretty minor annoyance in my opinion.
If however things are happening that makes it necessary to reboot
often, then perhaps there are some problems that just arean't evident
enough to identify yet. The AV and malware scans would still be the
place to start in that case.

Thanks. I think I did not specify my question clearly. This is not caused
by virus. My system does run virus stuff everyday. Also, it does happen for
every user I created and everytime the "user" login. It does not "reboot".
The symptom is that after the user gives password, the desktop shows up, then
for about 1 sec, the screen goes black and the desktop shows up again, it
looks like it repaint the desktop. It happens since day one, i.e., after I
got my new laptop and setup the Windows XP. My other laptop does not have
this problem.

Anyone has any idea and how to fix it?
