after a repair installation the registration window remains empty

I had to do a repair installation of my windows XP home (SP1).
(This was necessary because the booting stopped before the selection window
for the user accounts. I copied the partitions to a bigger HD before
reapairing).
The rapair installation run without any error message.

After the required reboot the registration window popped up.
But it remained empty.
Therfore I do not have the information neede to register.

Any ideas?

MS calls it activation not registration. Sorry for the confusion.
