| Hello.
| I use Printer Canon i560.
| A strange problem appeared recently.
| My printer one day refused to do any kind of printing activities from any
| window application including notepad. Worst than that, it isn't able to
even
| print a test page.
| I checked absolutely all settings and wires. I reinstalled all printer
| drivers from zero. Nothing helped.
| Now the most interesting part comes: I can easily do all printer
maintenance
| jobs, which means computer, can freely communicate with printer.
| So I am completely puzzled: Computer easily communicates with printer to
do
| all maintenance operations but it isn't able to even print a test page:?
| How can that be possible?
| Windows application's behaviour when trying to print is like there isn't
any
| printer installed or like there is configuration problem in the printer.
| Recently because of W32.Sasser.Worm I installed a fresh patch from
| Microsoft, which is here:
| I know the problem is about this recent Microsoft patch installation,
cause
| I noticed that some of my friends started having same problem just after
he
| installed the same patch, considering that they actually use some other
| printer brands.
| I tried uninstalling the patch and after restart computer, my printer is
| working fine. But since I can't let my machine without patch I installed
the
| newest version from Microsoft website again.
| After computer restart problem of blocked printer appeared again.
| Note: same printer installed on other machine that doesn't have patch
| installed, works fine.
| So, my computer simply refuses to do any printing activity, and I have no
| doubts that it is all about patch.
| Now I would like to ask how could I have my printer protected with the
| patch, and printer in a working state?
| Note: I tried uninstalling and reinstalling my printer in all possible
ways,
| but nothing changed, so that wouldn't be the solution.
| My opinion is that the patch is blocking something in my operating system
so
| printing isn't possible.
| Thanks a lot!
