Advanced Micro Devices processor software update released on December 17 2002.

I was just at the Microsoft Update site to see if there is anything new.
Under driver updates I found this:

"Advanced Micro Devices processor software update released on December 17
2002." The supported hardware says "AMD K7 Processor" and nothing else is
said about this. I can't understand why a driver from 2002 would suddenly
show up in the MS updates. I could not find anything about this driver at
the AMD site.

Anyone know what this update is all about?

I would not install an update that old. I have seen MS put out other driver
updates that were two years old also. I don't know why .
