Advanced Client for Windows XP Embedded

Hello,

I am researching how SMS 2003 supports Windows XP Embedded.

The scenario is the devices are already deployed and I want to install
the SMS 2003 client on them.

Is it required that I install the downloadable "Advanced Client for
Windows XP Embedded" from Microsoft? Or, what happens if I just
install the original SMS 2003 advanced client?

I am having a hard time understanding the documentation from MS and
determining if this embedded client is primarily for situations where
you wish to do an image deployment or applicable to all scenarios.

Thanks!

For XPe systems, you will want the Advanced Client for Windows XP Embedded.
This is a component that gets built into the image. I don't know how it gets
installed on a system that is laready built.

As I recall, there are some difference in the Advanced Client for Windows XP
Embedded than the regular SMS 2003 Advanced Client because it takes into
account embedded systems.
