advance slide after custom animation PPT 2007

I want my slideshow to advance to the next slide after a couple of custom
animtations have played. For instance, I have a voiceover for the slide, once
the voiceover stops, an animated gif plays for about 60 seconds, then I want
the slide to advance to the next slide automatically.

How can I accomplish this without having to go through and calculate the
time for the voiceover on each individual slide and manually entering that
into the "Automatically After" field?
 
Unfortunately this is not a feature of PPT - although it should be! you have
the right approach with using the set transition times.
